General Information

The proposal to establish the Theology Bachelor Completion (ILITAM) Program within the Faculty of Theology at Fırat University for distance education and to admit students for the 2011-2012 academic year was reviewed and approved during the Higher Education General Assembly meeting held on May 4, 2011, in accordance with Articles 7/d-2 and 7/h of Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880.

Since the 2011-2012 academic year, the ILITAM program admits 300 students annually. Eligible applicants include graduates of the Open Education Faculty Theology Associate Degree Program, Theology Vocational Schools, or those who have completed the first two years of a formal Theology program and received an associate degree in Social Sciences.

Graduates of the ILITAM program may serve in various positions within the Presidency of Religious Affairs, such as mufti, preacher, Qur'an course instructor, or religious officer. Additionally, those who complete a teaching certification can become teachers.
