The Distance Education Center (FUZEM), affiliated with the Rectorate of Fırat University, was established within the framework of the regulation published in the Official Gazette on July 1, 2002.

The purpose of FUZEM is to carry out activities in line with the Regulations on Distance Higher Education Based on Inter-University Communication and Information Technologies. It aims to provide an environment for all courses/programs offered through distance education to the students and/or the public of Fırat University, provide technical support, and ensure coordination among the relevant units of the University by utilizing communication and information technologies.

At our university, all courses taught in Faculties, Vocational Schools, and Colleges are delivered through distance education.

In addition, FUZEM actively enrolls students in the Non-Thesis Master's Programs in Educational Administration, Educational Programs and Instruction, and Educational Technologies, as well as in the Theology Completion (ILITAM) Program. FUZEM aims to launch undergraduate, associate degree, and graduate programs in the upcoming periods.
